SNORKELS, TUNES, EXHAUSTS & INTERCOOLERS

To get the most out of your engines performance when towing you need quality air in, tuning to suit the purpose and an effective way to disperse the heat and burnt gases.

This is where a combination of Snorkel for improved air flow, Flash Tune for improved engine performance and quality exhaust is a welcomes addition to your tow vehicle.

Fitting a snorkel to your vehicle moves the air intake to roof level where the air supply is cooler and cleaner to help protect the engine from wear and improve its performance. They are also handy for water crossings and reducing dust intake when exploring Australia.

We have used Flash Diesel tuning on our own R.A.T. Run (Remote Area Testing) Vehicles and TPC Tow Test Vehicle and couldn’t be happier with the performance improvements. These remaps are custom designed for your towing specifics to give you the best performance outcome. On average, a Flash Diesel tune will usually result in 20% more power and 15% more torque and in our experience reduced fuel consumption*. Remember your engine starts tuned for your vehicle as stock out of the dealer, once modifications are made and weight added to the vehicle this changes the demand on the engine.

With improved performance it is also often recommended to upgrade the clutch, we can have that done at the same time. PWR Intercoolers are also available to compliment the improved tune with superior cooling.

The last stage in the performance cycle is the effects of an exhaust. With a high performing engine it is essential to disperse the heat being generated as efficiently as possible. This is where a quality exhaust from Legendex will assist in your engines overall performance and efficiency in towing.
